Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Website: Email address (newsletter subscription), name and email (contact form).

App:

• Financial data: transactions, accounts, balances, categories, budgets, goals (user-entered)
• Account info: name, email (at registration)
• Subscription status, product and transaction identifiers (via Apple StoreKit)
• AI chat messages and the photos or documents you choose to attach
• Receipt photos attached to transactions and messages sent to support
• Voice recordings you submit for transcription

2. How We Use Your Information

Website: To send launch notifications (if subscribed) and respond to support inquiries.

App:

• Display your financial information
• Provide AI assistant responses based on your financial data
• Sync data between devices
• Verify subscriptions with Apple

3. Data Storage

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising tracking. We share data with the service providers described below to deliver the features you use.

On device: Your financial records are stored locally. Sign-in, synchronization and AI features require an internet connection.

On server: Financial records, account information, chat history, uploaded attachments, support messages and subscription records are stored on Denary servers for account access and app functionality.

Chat messages and attachments remain available as part of your account history. Voice recordings are temporarily processed for transcription and the temporary audio file is deleted from our server after processing; text sent to the chat is stored in chat history.

4. Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit — subscription management and payment processing. Apple does not share your payment details with us.
• OpenRouter and the AI model provider — when you use the AI assistant, your message, relevant chat history, selected attachments and financial records needed to answer your request are sent through our server to OpenRouter and the provider serving the selected model. Our current chat models are provided by OpenAI.
• OpenAI — voice recordings submitted for transcription are sent through our server to OpenAI. These providers process data under their own privacy and retention policies: OpenRouter privacy policy and OpenAI privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, all user data is permanently removed from our servers. Local data is cleared from your device upon logout or account deletion.

6. Your Rights

• Access: View all your data within the app
• Deletion: Delete your account from Settings — all data is permanently removed
• Correction: Edit any transaction, account, or budget directly in the app

7. Children's Privacy

Denary is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Authentication uses secure tokens. On-device data is protected by iOS file-level encryption (Data Protection).
